Reflection

For many years I worked as a technical project manager. In that role, my goal was to create a flawless project plan for each project. Although Scripture Walk is different from my secular projects, I have been using many of my project manager skills to get it launched.

Until last week, everything was proceeding according to plan. And then, I got sick.

About 10 days after I completed my Level 1 Mindful Outdoor Guide certification class, I started getting a high fever, body aches, night sweats and nausea. After considering all the usual reasons (covid, flu etc.), I received a diagnosis of Lyme disease.

As a result, I am going to have to drop out of the Level 2 class that I was planning to attend next week in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and focus on my recovery. This is going to impact my project plan and my targeted launch date.

Lyme disease has reminded me that, while I am busy following the steps in my plan, God is looking at my plan too.

I need to center myself and look at this as an obstacle in the pathway, not a stopping point. I need to focus on His eternal purpose and create a revised plan to move forward.
